When we were shopping I decided that I can't stand myself as a shopper. I can not make a decision and I'll focus on the teeniest little detail of a piece of furniture that will take it out of contention. I'm sure my husband was getting really annoyed with me, but I know we're going to have this furniture for a while so I want to be sure I love it. We'll see if this is what we end up with. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the arms are harder than I'd like.
Thursday and Friday they came in and did some work on the house. All in all we're happy with what they accomplished. I was impressed by how they leveled the uneven floors. They did lots of little jobs and they did a great job steam cleaning the carpets. There are a couple of things we thought they'd do but didn't. They have to come back some time this week to install the new counter tops. We also discovered an electrical issue yesterday. My husband turned on the light out back for the first time and the light switch sparked quite a bit. We'll add that to the list.
I finally completed the survey from Ryan. I'm sure you've all heard how important it was that they receive all tens. We were really happy with our reps and our PM so we did do that. I did add a couple of comments at the end about some things were weren't happy with including the brick "front" minus the wall on the front porch, the faucets, the required "upgrade" etc... I may have also thrown in a line about how I was disappointed that we didn't receive any incentives. I'm still not over that one! :)
That's really pretty! I can completely relate to being picky about the furniture....and it's so hard to shop when the colors that you can select are on little swatches (much like picking the shutters, paint colors, flooring, cabinets, countertops, etc for the house!) I will be happy if I never have to pick something form a swatch/sample again in my life!
ReplyDeleteLove the furniture
ReplyDeleteThat furniture is beautiful! =)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe no one offered you incentives!!! =/ I'm not happy about that one!
I am a more recent follower, so now I'm off to try to find the brick and porch thing in your archives! lol
Ok...caught up. WOW! I'd write "a little something" about that too!!
ReplyDeleteAs I went back through trying to find the post, I once again enjoyed all the pictures you posted!
I'm glad you guys are finally settling in. =)
We may have to check out Sheely's. I hope they'll deliver to us since were on the opposite side of the world from you. That's a nice site.
ReplyDeleteHey KM...i really like the furniture! :) They are going to have to replace the countertop on the gourmet island....its ruffed up on a corner...As much as they want 10s...Im gonna be brutally honest :)
ReplyDeleteMy PM will be getting all 10s. Our sales associate won't. Do they tell you when you have to fill out the survey by? I don't want to give them a bad review before our 10 month inspection.
ReplyDeleteNoey814 - I have labeled some entries, but not all. I have to get on that to make searching a bit easier.
ReplyDelete2011, Sheely's is charging us $20 for delivery. considering we're about an hour way, I didn't think that was too bad. It's worth looking into. They have some nice, high quality furniture.
ReplyDeleteIndia, you're getting a new i island too? Must be a Venice thing :)
Jen, a few days before we got the survey we got a call telling us it was on the way. After about 2 weeks of us not filling it out, we got a reminder email. I guess you can really do it whenever you want, you'll just have to deal with the annoying emails until you do.
I know whats with that??? We will definitely see tomorrow..
ReplyDeletewe recieved the survey form at closing....i really do not remember but I really do not believe I gave anyone a ten.
ReplyDeleteI should also note that we did give lower scores for materials and home value
