Tight Squeeze
I have other pictures to share but they're on a different computer, so you're stuck with these unexciting pics. I love, love, love having a garage! What I'm not loving so much is that it's a tight squeeze. Not that there's anything that we could have done about this since the garage size is a fixed component of the house. It's not so bad for my car, but my husband parks his VERY close to the wall. I think his dreams of the garage turning into another man space are fading. Not enough room.

This is exactly why we wanted a three car garage. They aren't deep either. I saw on HGTV that you can put material on your garage walls to prevent damage to the walls and cars.
ReplyDeleteWe are having the same issue. I can't believe how small the garage is. Our mirrors practically touch.
ReplyDeleteWe have two small cars right now but will be getting a minivan soon and the garage is definitely not big. However, we used hooks that screw into the walls to hang stuff on (including a ton of kids outside toys) so I feel like we are still able to store a lot in the garage. Maybe I'll take some pictures to post since I'll be outside on this beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteYou're right that most of the garages are just barely big enough for two cars. We are having them build a three car side load garage and then put a double door on the front. So it will be a two car front load garage that is the same width as a standard two car garage but extra long. That way there will be lots of extra space at the front for storage.
ReplyDeleteWe have a longback chevy truck now I wonder if it will fit lol ohh boy now that is interesting. I am not the best parker and I can imagine accidentally bumping my car into my husbands. Hopefully that won't happen other than that your garage does look good.

ReplyDeleteKen, it's been a while. I didn't think you were still reading. He'll be trimming is waistline as he walks the dog up our giant hill.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good idea but first I'm sure he'll have to create a spread sheet and a flow chart to decide where your dog is aloud to do his business and what order he is aloud to do it in for optimum performance and execution.
