Etiquette Question for Blind Installation

Our blinds will finally be installed on Friday.  It only took me 6 weeks!  I'm sure my neighbors will be relieved to not see the inside of my house any more (unless they're like FM's neighbors who would love a peek inside!).  Anyway, I know a lot of you installed them yourselves but was wondering if you could help with this.  Should I tip the installer?  He's of course getting paid through Lowes, but I'm wondering if I should tip him, too.  Thoughts?  Thanks guys :)

  2. If he(they) can't accept tips, offer Drinks of Water, Iced Tea, Soda ect and leave a snack out on the Table and tell them you will be offended if they don't snack ;)

  4. Haha km :) You never know, you might have some disappointed neighbors now that you have blinds.
Good to know about the tipping etiquette.

  5. Never even thought about tipping the installer. Now I feel like a smuck. Didn't tip/offer anything to the guys who installed our garage door opener from Lowes. Hooray for blinds..don't feel bad we still don't have any blinds in. Can't wait to see some pics!

  6. I always like to offer a cold coke or water. If they are really good, I offer a cold beer (THAT's VERY RARE LOL). I typically don't tip contractors etc., although I think I should try to more frequently.
