The Final Countdown

My husband and I went to see Rock of Ages when it was in Pittsburgh a couple of months ago.  It was fantastic!  Since then I've had so many 80's songs stuck in my head.  As I've been thinking about the fact that now we're only 30 days out and I can start the final countdown, that song continually plays again and again in my head!

Anyway, as I try to contain my excitement for the next 30 days, I thought I'd try each day to write something about the house that I'm excited about or looking forward to. So here goes... (in no particular order).

#30 - Attached Garage
In our current house we have a detached one-car garage leaving one of us (usually me) to park on the street.  As I write this we are in the dead of winter with a bit more snow coming in the next few days.  Do you know how nice it will be to not have to clean snow and ice off my car in the morning?  My mornings will be much more pleasant (I have to give my husband credit because he often cleans it off for me).  Not only that, but I won't get caught in the rain carrying groceries - heck I won't even have to walk up steps to bring groceries into the kitchen.  This attached two-car garage is going to be such a luxury!

  3. 30 days, that's awesome. I think I might use your idea when we hit 30 days. I also TOTALLY agree with this one. We have a one car garage also. We agreed whomever leaves first in the morning is in the garage. This way you only have to remove only enough snow to move the car outside. It's a pain to remember who will leaves first in the morning, hubby has a varied schedule.

  5. My best friend thinks I'm a total dork for doing this, but I knew someone would appreciatie it! And besides, she's right - I am a dork.
India, I promise it will start to go fast. Once they start framing it is going to fly. I thought of you this morning when I heard about all the snow. We were lucky this time around.
