One Week Away and #7

One week from now I'll be unpacking boxes in my new house. I CANNOT WAIT!  We got a call from our PM today and many of the issues from yesterday are already fixed.  We have water in the master bath.  We got a brand new kitchen sink (the other was scratched).  We also have a new panel on the island.  I'm very impressed!
I had a 20% off Kohl's coupon today so I thought I'd try to get a few things - shower curtain, decorative stuff, maybe some rugs.  I ended up not getting anything because I am the worlds most horrible decision maker!  If I'm like this over a shower curtain, I can't imagine me picking out furniture!  I was overwhelmed.  The coupon is good until Wednesday, so I have to get my act together by then!

#7 - Master Bedroom

I really like our master bedroom.  Even excluding the awesome closet and master bathroom, it's still a great room.  It's definitely a lot bigger than what we have now.  I even think we'll have room for a little sitting area some day.  This room isn't on the top of the priority list, but hopefully we'll get to it before too long.

  4. K M, just saw a stink bug and I thought about you and how you could spend the coupon. If you haven't got one already get a hand vac. I almost lost the sucker getting our vacuum out with the attachments.

  5. km...so exciting...1 more week...your last 2 posts are soooo not like you...is someone feeling the stress of the move :)

You need to find a nice tree, take a nice mug of tea, plop down underneath, take a deep breathe and just relax.

It's all coming together nicely and no matter what, 1 week from now you will be in your lovely new house.

Don't sweet the small stuff...if you can't decide on a shower curtain then you probably haven't found the perfect one...go buy some cheap bargain basement one and throw it up till you find the right one.

My wife got a 30% off coupon for Kohl's and she was out buying stuff for the house that we haven't even broken ground on yet...go figure!!!

Anyway, relax and enjoy the coming week.

  6. I was all proud of myself, I thought I actually posted early tonight but I guess it wasn't early enough for some of you :)

BD, you could say I'm feeling a bit stressed. I just have a mix of emotions - I'm a woman! I'm so excited and glad to be moving into the house, but will miss some of the excitment that goes along with the anticipation. Kind of like when you were a kid and the build up and anticipation of Christmas was half the fun. That probably makes no sense. I'm actually going to have to think of other things to talk about since the last 7 months of my life have revolved around building this house!

Anyway, keep your fingers crossed everyone. We're getting our taxes done tomorrow. The bigger the refund, the bigger the furniture fund!!!

  7. Oh, and 2011 I have a hand held vacuum. As I killed my second stink bug of the day, I thought that maybe, just maybe, our new house will be too hard for them to invade. Wishful thinking probably. I hate those things. They just appear out of nowhere. I really think they are the devil in disguise!

  8. Lol about stinkbugs! I am so lucky I really don't have any in my house now because when I do the kids laugh at my screaming when I try to get them and they fly at me! Good idea with the vacuum! I am just like that with the anticipation...once it is all over , life will feel so boring! This is like such a build up of every single day of your life I can't even imagine the day when we move in and get all settled. It will be so weird! I am so excited for you!!!

  9. Hey KM I feel so out of the loop, I can't believe you are at #7 of the countdown. I understand how you feel about the shower curtain I have been having the same feelings lately it has been so hard to make a decision on items for the house I have not decided on a shower curtain either I have been looking and looking so I decided to go with just a liner for now until I find the right one.:)
